Salesforce Org Connection
The Salesforce Org Connection page (under Org, also reachable at Admin > Org) shows the Salesforce org Forge is connected to and lets you maintain that connection. The Org Data and Org Layouts pages are read-only views of what Forge reads from that org.
Connection details
When connected, the page shows Org Id, Username, Instance URL and API Version. If the org is not connected, use Open OAuth setup to pick your login host (Production, Sandbox or My Domain); you return to this page when the handshake finishes.
- Reconnect to Salesforce: sign in again to refresh the connection.
- Refresh metadata: reloads the org's metadata into Forge.
- Disconnect Org: removes the Salesforce connection for your account. You are signed out and must re-authenticate to reconnect. A confirmation appears first.
If reconnecting fails
If Salesforce rejects the new connection, a banner explains that the connected app, IP allowlist or user permissions may have blocked access. Choose Try connecting again or Contact support. When a previous connection error is stored, Clear connection error removes it so you can retry; you still need to reconnect Salesforce.
Object mapping, packages and giving data model
The page also includes an Object Mapping section that connects Forge labels (for example Event or Ticket) to the matching Salesforce objects in your org. Mappings are limited to Blackthorn Events, Base and Transactions objects; if an object is not present in your org, leave it blank and save. Related actions are Refresh mapping, Validate vs XML schema, Check layouts and Save. See the Object Mapping guide page for the navigation-sidebar feature.
- Installed Packages: lists detected managed packages with namespace, package and version. Scan packages refreshes the list.
- Feature Capabilities: shows what your installed packages enable, including a prompt to update Blackthorn Events if Registration Sync needs a newer package version.
- Giving Data Model: shows the detected model (Sales Cloud, NPSP, Nonprofit Cloud, Education Cloud, Health Cloud or Kindsight Ascend) with a confidence level, and lets you save an override.
Editing
The Edit button links to /org/edit, which opens this page in edit mode. Demo orgs are read-only unless a company admin opens edit mode.
Org Data (read-only)
Org Data lists records Forge has cached from Salesforce: Events, Event Series, Sessions, Tickets, Invoices, Transactions, Forms, Form Elements, Registrations, Tables, Seats and Codes. Refresh Cache reloads them, a Synced timestamp shows freshness, and a Stale badge appears when the cache is out of date. Connect your org on the Org page first.
Org Layouts (Preview)
Org Layouts previews how Salesforce page layouts are rendered in Forge. Select an Object and a Record Type to inspect the field layout Forge uses. The page shows the layout source (record type layout, record type mapping or default layout), the active record type and layout, and each section's fields with badges such as Required, Custom, Layout and Read-only.
These views read from Salesforce; changing a layout still happens in Salesforce.
