Admin
Payment Tools
Besides the gateways list, the Payments admin area has pages for gateway customers, automatic allocation, PayLink and DocumentLink. There are also pages for saved payment methods and payment schedules. Open Payments from the admin area; the Related cards at the bottom of the gateways page link to Customers, Allocation Rules and PayLink Configurations.
Customers
Customers lists the customers stored in your payment gateway. Search by name, and read each customer's Name, Email, Customer ID and Phone. A Gateway filter (All gateways by default) narrows the list. Open a row to see the customer's details. The list pages through results with Previous and Next.
If the page says the payment gateway could not be resolved, the customer may not have an active gateway configured. Check the gateway settings under Payments.
Allocation Rules
One setting, Automatically Create Allocation. When it is Enabled, Salesforce automatically creates allocation records for each line item when a transaction is processed. Changing it shows "Allocation rules updated".
PayLink Configurations
PayLink Configurations holds the branding and defaults for payment links. The list has a New Configuration button; open a row to edit it or delete it. Deleting asks you to confirm and cannot be undone.
- Name (required).
- Allowed Payment Methods, for example Card;ACH.
- Card Color Theme, Background Color, Button Color and Background Image URL.
- Currency Display, Amount Due Label and ACH Acceptance Language.
If PayLink is not available in your org, the page says the Blackthorn PayLink package may not be installed.
DocumentLink Templates
DocumentLink Templates lists the templates for sales documents with their Name, Payment Gateway, Currency and Display Language. Choose New Template and enter a Template Name. Deleting a template removes it from Salesforce, and any Sales Documents that reference it lose the template link. A View in Salesforce link opens the record.
Payment Methods
The Transaction Methods page lists saved payment methods with Name, Type, Brand and Last4. Edit changes the Card Holder Name. New Payment Method takes a Type, Brand and the last four digits. Delete asks for confirmation and cannot be undone.
Payment Schedules
The Transaction Schedules page lists schedules with Name, Status, Interval and Id. Edit shows Amount, Repeats (Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly), Frequency, Next Payment Date, End Date and Description.
Cancel Schedule permanently stops future billing for that schedule and cannot be undone. Recurrence runs on Blackthorn's own payment schedule infrastructure, not on gateway subscriptions.
