Field Configuration
Three admin tools control which fields Forge shows. They are organization-wide settings.
Field Visibility
Field Visibility configures which fields appear on each entity's list, panel and detail views. The hub lists these entities: Event Details, Sessions, Speakers, Sponsors, Attendees, Tickets, Finance and Transactions. Pick one to open its editor, then choose a surface: List View or Detail Panel.
- Each row has a Visible switch, the Field name, an editable Label, a Widget (Text, Picklist, Date, Rich Text, Checkbox, Currency, Number or Text Area), and Read-only and Required switches.
- Use Move up and Move down to reorder fields.
- Defaults come from your Salesforce page layout. Save stores a custom override; Reset to defaults removes it and restores the Salesforce layout fields.
- If Salesforce defaults cannot be loaded, Forge shows fallback fields and a warning.
Event Creation Fields
Event Creation Fields (Admin > Wizard Fields) sets which fields appear when creating a new event for your organization. Fields are grouped by step: Details, Tickets, Sessions, Speakers, Sponsors, Donations, Registration Forms, Event Content and Communications. Choose a record type (or All Record Types) to scope the settings.
- Toggle a field on or off. Fields marked Required — always visible cannot be hidden.
- Under Custom fields, Add field searches Salesforce fields to add to a step; Remove takes one away. A field no longer in Salesforce shows Missing in Salesforce.
- Fields the user cannot read are labeled Hidden (no read access) and fields they cannot edit are labeled Read-only (no edit access), following Salesforce field-level security.
Clone Field Configuration
Clone Field Configuration controls which fields are copied when an event is cloned. It is global: changes apply to all users in your workspace, and the field list respects your Salesforce field-level security (only fields you have create access to are listed). Objects include Tickets, Sessions, Speakers, Sponsors, Staff, Forms, Email Templates, FAQs, Custom Tabs, Event Content, Event Assets, Keywords, Codes, Tracks, Tables, Badges and Event Settings.
- Field Source: Curated List lets you tick the Included Fields; Salesforce Field Set uses a field set you select, or enter its developer name manually if none are found.
- Apply to all: sets All Curated or All Field Set mode on every object.
- Select all and Deselect all work on the field list. Save applies changes; Discard drops them.
Unsaved changes are flagged on the page. If your session expires, reload before saving.
